Mary K. (Turnbull) Chapin

Mary Chapin, age 84 of Etter, passed away peacefully at Cerenity Care on Humbolt in St. Paul on Tuesday morning, August 27, 2024.

Mary K. the daughter of Everett and Mary Turnbull, was born on February 9, 1940, in Randolph Township, Dakota County, Minnesota. Following her education, Mary had to care for her mother who sadly passed away at a very young age. On August 12, 1958, Mary was united in marriage to Raymond "Ray" Chapin and he later preceded her in death on August 21, 2016. Mary worked at various locations around the area, and cherished the time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, and helping Ray with many tasks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray; and her brother, John.

Mary is survived by her children, Butch (Lisa) Chapin, David Chapin, Ken (Sharon) Chapin, and Ron (Lynn) Chapin; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Our Saviour's Ev. Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Tim Banks officiating. Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, and for one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday morning.
