Mary K. Meisch

Mary Patricia (Kane) Meisch, age 83 of Woodbury, MN and Green Valley, AZ died Friday, December 16, 2011 in Arizona. Mary was born February 7, 1928 in Bloomington, IL to Charles Patrick and Bess E. (Springer) Kane. She attended Oak Park High School in the Chicago area and received her BA teaching degree from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, IL. She taughtschool prior to her marriage to Linus J. Meisch on June 21, 1952 in Bloomington, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Betty Lou Zook. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Mary is survived by her husband Linus; 5 children 10 grandchildren, Mary (Matt) Powell of Los Altos, CA and their children Kate, Anna, and Eleanor, Diane (John) Durant of Sammamish, WA and their children Bridget and John; Peter (Susan) Meisch of Lakeville, MN and their daughter Sarah; Paul (Margaret) Meisch of Valley Center, CA and their children Patrick, Ryan and Cristina; George Meisch of Tucson, AZ and his son Charles Meisch; brothers-in-law Bill Zook of Alexandria, VA and Clete (Marian) Meisch of Durango, CO; also nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in MN and AZ. Mary was the past president of the Rosary Society at St. Joseph�s Church in West St. Paul, past president of the Mother�s Club at St. Thomas Academy, a docent at the Dodge Nature Center, and an avid community volunteer. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Jay Kythe will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church, Miesville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are sons Paul and George Meisch, grandchildren Kate Powell, Sarah, Charles, Patrick, and Ryan Meisch, and John Durant.
