Mary J. Weiers

Mary J. Weiers, age 65, of Hastings died September 24, 2010 at United Hospital in St. Paul. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Mary was born July 30, 1945 in Hastings to Henry and Juanita (Mamer) Bauer. She was a 1963 graduate of Hastings High School, and married Robert Weiers on May 5, 1973 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings. She was a secretary at Hastings Middle School for 10 years. Mary enjoyed cooking, fishing, and making jewelry. She was preceded in death by her father Henry; stepfather Herbert Bauer; and brother James Bauer. Mary is survived by her husband Robert; mother Juanita Bauer of Hastings; siblings Carol (Jim) Gores of Hampton, Marvin (Shirley) Bauer of Eagan, and Laura Bauer of Hastings; also many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Allan Paul Eilen will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth St., Hastings. The visitation will be held from 5-8PM Monday, September 27, 2010 at Mother Seton Hall (west entrance of the church), and one hour prior to the service. The pallbearers will be Jerry Johnson, Richard Weiers, Dennis Becker, Bob Armbruster, Don Schiller, and Mark Forster. The honorary pallbearers will be Florence Kleis, Cheryl Murtaugh, Betty Weiers, Sharon Johnson, Pat Schiller, Rita Murphy, Colleen Becker, Kris Forster, and Dorothy Huffman.
