Mary G. (Meyers) Peine

Mary G. (Meyers) Peine, age 80 of rural Hampton, died Thursday, June 16, 2016.Mary G. Hoffmann was born March 13, 1936 to Henry and Anna (Irrthum) Hoffmann in Hampton Township. She was a graduate of Randolph High School and married George Meyers on April 16, 1955 and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1978. She married Lawrence Peine on February 14, 1983 and he preceded her on March 12, 2013. She was a life-long homemaker.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, George Meyers and Lawrence Peine; 3 children, Judy Meyers, Mary Meyers and baby boy Meyers; siblings, Betty Lou Hoffmann, Delores Halfen, Veronica Gores Kummer, Leonard and John Hoffmann;Mary is survived by her six sons, George (Kathy) Meyers of Richmond, MN, David (Barb) Meyers of Hastings, Joseph (Diane) Meyers, Paul (Jody) Meyers, and Eugene (Anita) Meyers, all of Hampton, Ralph (Diane) Meyers of Hastings; and the Peine children and their families; also 34 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and one expected in November; sisters, Emma Siebenaler and Pat Faast; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hoffman.Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 at St. Marys Catholic Church in New Trier, with Father Stan Mader officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Miesville, and will continue one hour prior to the Mass on Monday at St. Marys in New Trier. Pallbearers are grandchildren, Adam, Brian, Andy, Anthony, Cody and Christy Meyers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Alzheimer's research or Allina Hospice.Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services in Hastings.
