Mary Ellen Staiger

Mary Ellen Staiger, age 80 of Hastings died Monday, October 9, 2012 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Mary was born May 20, 1932 in Hastings to Victor and Agnes (Kordosky) Johnson. She was a 1950 graduate of Hastings High School and married Lloyd Staiger on November 18, 1950. Mary had worked in the office at Regina Hospital in Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Al Johnson and his wife Pat. Mary is survived by her husband Lloyd; children Julie (Mike) Kelly and Dale (Jaci) Staiger; grandchildren Scott (Kelly) Kelly, Mitch Staiger, Kristi Kelly; brothers Swede (Dot) Johnson, Whitey (Mary Ellen) Johnson, David (Rita) Johnson. The Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, October 11, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth Street West inHastings. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at church.
