Mary E. Tri

Mary E. Tri, age 71, of Hastings died August 13, 2011 at her residence. Mary was born March 11, 1940 in St. Paul to Louis and Eva (Deiss) Reis. She graduated from St. Benedict�s High School in St. Joseph, Minn. Mary was united in marriage to Leonard Tri on November 24, 1962 at St. Michael�s Catholic Church in West St. Paul. She was a former school cook at St. Boniface School and also a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard on November 7, 2009; son-in-law Robert Waller; brothers Melvin, Bernard, Clemence, Robert and Louis; sister Elaine Keller. Mary is survived by her children Beverly Waller of Prescott, Patricia (Daniel) Kimmes of Hastings, Carol (Ron) Stoudt of Hastings, Karen Welch of Hastings and Pamela Kapsner of Farmington; grandchildren Matthew, Tara, Ashley, Ryann, Michael, Gary, Elizabeth, Jacob and Cheyanne; great-grandchildren Trent and Miranda; brothers James Reis of South Dakota and Richard Reis of Foley, Minn. The funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. James Perkl, will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth Street, Hastings. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings and also 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The pallbearers are Corey Waller, Joe Waller, Lenny Waller, Matt Waller, Mike Kapsner, Jacob Kapsner and Gary Stoudt. Honorary pallbearers will be Tara Waller, Ashley Nassen, Ryann Welch, Elizabeth Kimmes and Cheyanne Stoudt. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
