Mary B. Kane, of Hastings, died April 2, 2009 at the Regina Medical Center in Hastings. Mary was born September 25, 1921 in Hampton to Frederick and Marie (Fox) Sieben. She grew up on the family farm near Hampton, where she attended school. As a young woman she worked as a nanny on Grand Ave. She married LeRoy �Roy� Kane on September 27, 1944 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Hampton. Mary also worked at Bronson�s Manufacturing, as a retail clerk at Mode O Day and Fashion Crossroads, and in customer service for Farmers Insurance. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roy; and brother, Ervin. Mary is survived by her daughters, Sharon Reuter and former son in law Gene Reuter of Hastings, Corinne (Alan) Vance of Hastings, Chris (Tim) Weyandt of Farmington; grandchildren, Brian (Shawn) Reuter, Shawn Kane, Haley (Dusten) Kuefler, Ryan, Andrea, and Billy Weyandt; great grandchildren, Brady, Kylee, Khloe, Owen, and an expected Baby Boy; brother, Edwin (Dorothy) Sieben of Montana.The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Abraham George, will be held Monday, 10:00am, April 6, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth Street West, Hastings, followed by interment in the parish cemetery. The visitation will be Sunday, April 5, 2009, from 4:00-8:00PM at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings, and one hour prior to the Monday service at church.The pallbearers are Shawn Kane, Ryan Weyandt, Brian Reuter, Billy Weyandt, Mike Sieben, Mike Knoll, Mark Milliren, and Gervais Fox; honorary pallbearers are Gary Sieben and Dustin Kuefler.
