Mark Arnold Wright

Mark A. Wright, age 82 of Denmark Township, died suddenly at home on Monday morning, January 15, 2018. Mark Arnold, the son of Mark and Eugenia (Pinke) Wright, was born on December 27, 1935, in Hastings. At a young age, Mark began assisting on the family farm and continued to reside there until his passing. Mark was also a longtime employee at the State Hospital as a nurse and later the Minnesota Veterans Home in Hastings. He enjoyed traveling around the world and spending time on the farm. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his twin sister, Marcella Bell. Mark is survived by his sister, Virginia Jones; nephews and niece, Jeff, Vicki, Don, and Tom; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating. A reception with Marks favorite pie and coffee will follow the service, and visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, all at the funeral home. Private family interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
