Maribelle Plath

Maribelle Plath, age 83, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family August 21, 2014. She was born in St. Louis, MO to John and Helen Yeager on Feb. 8, 1931. Maribelle was a constant and proud mother of six who thoroughly enjoyed homemaking. She also liked her time spent with Dakota County Peace Officer Training, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. You always saw her with a beautiful smile on her face, and she was the most vocal, enthusiastic fan at her children’s many activities. She enjoyed music and loved ballroom dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Barry. Maribelle is survived by her children, Roger (Sally) of Minneapolis; Russ (Deb) of New Brighton; Kelly (Sue) of Blaine; Jeanneane (Bill) Huberty of Lake Nebagamon, WI; and Corey of St. Paul; grandchildren, Carrie and Ryan; Kristin and Michael; Jennifer (John), Sara and Kelsy; Dustin (Rosalind), Randy, Allison, Billy, Erik, and Brooke; great grandchildren, Jade; Julia; Josi; Sean; Jordan; and Leighton; sister, Betty Holl; other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Chris Quistad, will be held on Tuesday (8/26) at 10:00 a.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings.
