Marian R. Stoudt

Marian R. Stoudt, age 94, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, formerly of Aberdeen, South Dakota and Miesville, MN died November 16, 2008. She was born August 31, 1914 in Miesville to William and Agnes (Nilan) Ruhr and was the oldest of 11 children. She married Jerome H. Stoudt on February 22, 1936 in Duluth, MN. In Aberdeen, Marian had worked as a receptionist for Dr. Paul Bell and at the Aberdeen Court House, and her greatest joy was working at the Olwin-Angel Department Store. She enjoyed travel, especially in Europe and cruises, as well as being a fan of Vikings football and Twins baseball. According to her family, she was a kind and gracious lady. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerome in 1996, 5 brothers Harold, Joseph, Paul, Kenneth, and Gordon Ruhr, and 1 sister Grace Herseth. She is survived by her son James (Norma) Stoudt of Bella Vista, AR; daughter Sandra Wiltfang of Aberdeen, SD; grandchildren Michael (Sherri)Wiltfang and their daughter Jaedyn; Mark Wiltfang; Vicki (Jim) Lust and their son John; Jayne (Tim) Roby and their sons David and Matthew; Chad Stoudt; Jerome (Megan) Stoudt and their son Asher and step-great-grandchildren Ashlyn Haynes, Kyler Blount, and Haylee Blount; brothers Eugene (Lois) Ruhr and Edwin (Millie) Ruhr; sisters Joan Steffenhagen and Marjorie Roland-Pabst. The funeral service, officiated by Fr. James Perkl will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 20, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery. The pallbearers are Jerome Stoudt, Mike Wiltfang, Mark Wiltfang, Cindy Teal, Bob Ruhr, and Bill Ruhr.
