Margaret "Peggy" Bird

Margaret A. “Peggy” Bird, age 75, of Hastings, passed away at St. John’s Hospital, in Maplewood, MN on November 12, 2017. She was born on October 28, 1942 in Hastings, MN to parents, Paul and Dorothy (Ulbrich) Maher. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Maher; and husband; Dick Bird. Margaret is survived by beloved son, Gary Bird; wonderful daughter-in-law, Becky Bird; beautiful granddaughters, Taylor and Amanda Bird; brothers, Paul (Robin) Maher, Jim (Jane) Maher, Mike (Liz) Maher, John (Barb) Maher; Dick (Mari) Maher, Pat (Diane) Maher; sisters, Jan (Dewey) Moulton, Carol (Tim) Serres, Kathy (Russ) Andrews, Mary (Bob) Templin, Joan (Steve) Varien, Sue (Bernie) Blazek; 48 nieces and nephews; over 100 great and great great nieces and nephews; 5 Godchildren; very special girlfriends, Rita Hale, Kathy Goers, Neota Minks and Judy Luedke; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2035 15th Street W, Hastings, on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:30 am, with a Rosary at 9:30 am and gathering from 10 am to 11:30 am.
