Margaret E Kane

Margaret E. Kane, age 100, a lifelong resident of Hastings, passed away September 16, 2013 at Augustana Health Care Center in Hastings. Margaret was born to Phillip & Bertha Hild on March 12, 1913 in Hastings. She married Stephen L. Kane in 1935 at Guardian Angels Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stephen Kane; son, Paul “Doors” Kane; daughter in law, Judy Kane; son in law, Don Jorgensen; great grandsons, Robbie Kane & Ricky Berg; 6 siblings. Margaret is survived by children, Pat (special friend, Loren Bauer) Jorgensen; Robert Kane; Stephen (Joetta) Kane; daughter in law, Margie Kane; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; nieces, Charlene Rother & Barb Klein; many friends & relatives. A Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Jim Perkl, will be held on Thursday (9/19) at 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St. in Hastings. A Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to mass on Thursday. Interment St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Pallbearers are Stephen Kane, Bob Kane, Steven Jorgensen, Tom Kane, Pete Kane, Brian Kane, John Kane. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeannie Horsch, Joanne Warner, Beth Kane, Mark Wright.
