Lorraine H. Reis

Lorraine H. Reis, age 77 of Hastings, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at her residence. Lorraine was born November 27, 1936 in Hastings to Claude and Mary (Schweich) Denn. She was married to Robert Reis on June 8, 1957 in Frederic, WI. Robert passed away on November 29, 2003. Lorraine was a wonderful woman who loved to crochet for her family, play bingo and take trips to the casino. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents Claude Mary, son Steve, grandson Joseph and 7 brothers and sisters. Lorraine is survived by her children Robert Jr. (Ellie) of New Richmond, WI, Greg (Jean) of Lakeville, MN, Barb (Larry) Huneke of Hastings, MN, Jerry (Tammy) of Cottage Grove, MN; daughter-in-law Mitzie Reis of Isle, MN; grandchildren Tiffany (Vernon) Richards, Brandon, Andrew, Josh, Brittney Huneke, Megan Reis, Mark Huneke, Sara Reis and Mike Reis; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Claude Denn; sister Claudia (Bud) Wagner; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke will be held 10:00 AM Monday, May 12, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St, Hastings. Visitation will be held from 3-6 PM Sunday May 11, 2014 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E.7th St., Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
