Lori S. Beauvais

Lori S. Beauvais, age 60 of Hastings, passed away following a long battle with cancer on Sunday morning, December 23, 2018, at home in Hastings. Lori Sue, the daughter of Donald and Betty (Wyman) Knudsen, was born on November 2, 1958 in Sioux Falls, SD. Lori grew up in the Twin Cities before moving to Michigan, where she met the love of her life, Michael Beauvais. After dating for 4 years, they were united in marriage on August 5, 1978. They were blessed with three daughters and moved to Minnesota shortly afterwards. Lori was a stay at home mom before she went back to work at the Hastings School District for 20+ years. While she wasnt working, she enjoyed biking, sitting by the campfire while camping, listening to music, drinking wine, sitting in the hot tub, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald. Lori is survived by her husband, Michael; daughters, Trisha (Andy) Abel, Emily (Dan) Hellerich, and Andrea (Iustin Cornea) Beauvais; grandchildren, Brayden, Ryan, and Camdyn; mother, Betty; brother, Jeff Knudsen; sister, Ann Myhre; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. January 5, 2019, at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Hastings, with Reverend Doug Duin officiating. Interment will take place at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
