Lois Ann (Bokinskie) Laumeyer, age 93, of Hastings passed away January 2, 2021 at United Hospital due to Covid 19 complications. Lois was born on March 20, 1927, in Long Prairie, MN to Albert and Dora Bokinskie. She graduated from Long Prairie High School. She married Donald Laumeyer on September 8, 1947 at Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Lois is survived by her sister, Irene Prill; sisters-in law, Joanne Bokinskie and Dorothy Akin; daughter, Becky (Al) Kline; sons, Doug (Barb) Laumeyer, Bill (Karla) Laumeyer, Dan (Sandy) Laumeyer and Alan Laumeyer; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchild, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; two sisters; two brothers; one daughter-in-law and two great grandchildren. Lois enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, playing cards, playing Scrabble, visiting casinos and her grandchildren with a special relationship with her only granddaughter, Kristine. Due to Covid 19, a private family Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings. The Mass will be live streamed on the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel Facebook page on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Father Dave Hennen is officiating. The burial and a Celebration of Life will be held in the summer. Interment will be at Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hastings Catholic Education Foundation or Hastings Family Service or donors choice. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Regina Senior Living, Regina Hospital, United Hospital Emergency Department for their care and understanding.
