Lauren B. Pederson

Pederson, Lauren B. Age 88, of Edina, MN, went to be with the Lord on Tues. March 1, 2011, after a short illness at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. He was born in Hastings, MN on March 20, 1922 to Eleanor and George Pederson. He loved his family and being around people. Lauren owned a wholesale candy and tobacco company for 58 yrs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golf, again mostly to be around people. Lauren was a WWII vet., serving on the front line in the Pacific Theatre. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 yrs., Carol; daughter, Judy (Jim) Baker; son, Alan (Pat) Pederson; grandchildren, Dr. Cynthia Ehlen (Dr. Tim); Chadwick Baker (Kirsten); Dr. Kristin Nelson (Nick); Bridget Lucas (Nick); great grandchildren, Griffin; Quinn; Piper; and Sutton Ehlen; Brielle, Bridget and Brynn Baker; and Matthew, Katie and Andrew Nelson; sister, Corinne; and brother Norman. Memorial Service, Sat. (3/5), 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 615 Vermillion Street (U.S. Hwy.61 at Seventh St.), Hastings, MN 55033. Gathering one hour prior to the service at church. A lunch will follow services. Private Interment at St. Francis Cemetery in Buffalo, MN. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren. Memorials preferred to St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
