Larry D. Bowman

Larry D. Bowman was born at home August 5, 1942 in Fairmont, MN, son of Elwin and Johanna (Deling) Bowman. He died May 25, 2015 at home with loving family around him. He was 72 years old. Larry attended school in Fairmont and then Mankato where he studied Auto Body Repair. He married Barbara Bristol in Fairmont on August 10, 1963. They lived in Truman, MN briefly and then settled in Hastings where he worked as a body man. He enjoyed fishing, camping, working with metal, woodcarving, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Rodney (Cheryl) of Oakdale; and Timothy of Hastings; sisters, Sandy (Doug) Fink of Celon, MN; and Audrey (Ralph) Schwab of Fairmont; brother, Maynard of Fairmont; granddaughter, Faith; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tammy Kay. A visitation will be held on Friday (6 /5) from 4-7 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings.
