Kevin M. Delarbre

Kevin M. Delarbre, age 53 of Hastings, died peacefully at United Hospital in St. Paul on Friday evening, January 14, 2022. Kevin Michael, the son of Charles and Laura (Gilson) Delarbre, was born in April 25, 1968, in Hammond, Indiana. At the age of ten, Kevin's family moved to Hastings where he attended school. Kevin then enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in Scotland prior to his Honorable Discharge. On January 6, 1990, he was a united in marriage to Dolores Eckroth and they were blessed with three children, Josh, Chelsea, and Faith, prior to later divorcing. He later married Yvette (Vervair) Schmitt on July 1, 2005, and they enjoyed creating many memories in their short sixteen years of marriage. Kevin was a longtime truck driver, first with Holiday and recently with Praxair until his recent battle with Covid. Outside of work, Kevin was a Jeep fanatic and especially loved his Jeep Gladiator. He also enjoyed off-roading, keeping up with his fitness through weightlifting and working out, and recently found a new love for camping with Yvette. Most of all, Kevin loved his grand babies and looked forward to spending every moment he could with them. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura; uncle, Duane Willerman; and by his grandparents. Kevin is survived by his wife, Yvette; children, Josh (Molly) Delarbre, Chelsea (Tyler) Satchell, Faith Delarbre (Brian Heintz), and Sarah Schmitt (Kenny Mead); grandchildren, Loralei, Louise, Mabel, Evangeline, Emma, Sophie, Charles, Chloe, Hayden, Frankie, Teralyn, Burkley, Delilah, one more due in July, and Andre; father, Charles; and by many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, with a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Private family interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
