Kenneth W. Reese

Kenneth W. Reese, age 95, of Hastings died January 11, 2011 at his home. Kenneth was born August 15, 1915 in Cady, WI to William and Millie (Barfknecht) Reese. He married Dorothy Trapp on October 19, 1935 in Woodville, WI. Kenneth was a WWII Navy veteran and a life member of the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210. Prior to retirement he was employed at O�Connor Kranz as a sheet metal worker. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gail and Ralph. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 75 years, Dorothy; nieces and nephews, Allen (Rose) Trapp of Hastings, Shirley (Max) Kephart of Hastings, Shelby (John) Rother of Hampton, Lois (Don) Robinson of Hastings, Karen (Tom) Latuff of Hastings, Kay Trapp of Hastings, Bonnie (Dave) Schmuck of Cottage Grove, William (Ruth) Reese of Bremerton, WA, Diane Trapp of Hudson, WI, Arlene (Ronald) Anderson of Beldenville, WI, Barbara Hanson of Menomonie, WI, Arthur Trapp of Baldwin, WI, Sandra Hudson of Woodville, WI, Steven Trapp of Woodville, WI and Cynthia (Carl) Brandt of Amery, WI; also many great and great-great nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Randy Strode, will be held at 11AM Friday, January 14, 2011 at New Life Ev. Free Church, 11245 Pt. Douglas Dr. S., Hastings. The visitation will be from 4-7PM Thursday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, and also one hour prior to the Friday service at church. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Jason Schmuck, Blake Robinson, David Latuff, Michael Hubley, Eli Robinson, Jonathan Robinson, Bryan Clark, and Daniel Clark.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
