During his retirement years, Ken enjoyed golfing, where he could be found walking the course at Gopher Hills and other area courses. He also volunteered his time with the University of Minnesotas student chapter of the National Agri-Marketing Association, even leading the U of MN chapter to a 1st place finish in the 2013 national finals. Ken was a lifelong cyclist and could often be seen riding around town in his neon wind jacket. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny; and by his sister, Lois.
