June I. Ovsak, age 89 of Hastings, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday morning, April 16, 2018, at Regina Medical Center in Hastings. June Idell, the daughter of Curtis and Hannah (Tolefson) Iverson, was born on February 25, 1929, in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. On June 5, 1971, June was united in marriage to LaVern Ovsak at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Hastings. She was a longtime employee of Smead Mfg. and loved spending time with her family, and going for car rides. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, LaVern Ovsak; brother, Howard Iverson; sister, Clarice Langer; and her son-in-law, Harley Rabe June is survived by her children, Joan (Marc) Huebsch, Joe Flom, Pam Rabe, Debbie (Chuck) Blatz, and Cindy (Jeff) Kummer; step children, Daniel Ovsak, LuAnn Boucher, Ellen (Jim) DeWolf, David (Debra) Ovsak, Marian (Ken) Kittel, and Jeannie (Ron) Covert; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and by many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Hastings, with Reverend Doug Duin officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia, Smidt Starkson Funeral Home Crematory of Hastings.
