Julie M. Zgoda

Julie M. Zgoda, age 55 of Hastings died unexpectedly Saturday, November 2, 2013. She is now reunited with the love of her life.Julie was born November 3, 1957 in Hastings to Edward and Verneil (Brenseth) Thomas. She married John Zgoda on February 9, 1979. She was employed as a waitress for many years and loved meeting people. Julie was a beloved mother, grandma, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her love was never ending.She was preceded in death by her parents husband John. Julie is survived by her children Dawn (Brian) Tucker, Jim (Tara), Dan (Candace); grandchildren Abby, Connor, Kylee, Ella, Peyton; brothers and sisters Jack (Ginny) Thomas, Becky Petersen, Don Thomas, Cathy (Mike) Norgaard, Pat (Mark) Freeman, Mary (Jack) Caudill, Shellie (Jerry) Russell, Sandy (Scott) Myers, Peggy (Tom) Fox; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Doug Duin will be held at 10:00 am Thursday November 7, 2013 at Our Saviours� Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 9th St W., Hastings. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Wednesday November 6, 2013 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home 201 E. 7th St. Hastings, and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. Pallbearers are Jack Thomas, Tom Fox, Mike Norgaard, Brad Haese, Jerry Russell and Jim Hoeschen. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
