Jon S. Severson

Jon S. Severson, age 70, of Hastings passed away at United Hospital on May 10, 2011. Jon was born to Christ & Mildred Severson on December 17, 1940 in Sparta, WI. He married Diane Swanson in Minneapolis on April 15, 1961. Jon retired after 38 years of working for Burlington Northern. He was also the owner of the Westview Liquor Store and was a huge Hastings High School basketball fan. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert & Tom Severson. Jon is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diane; children, Jim (Kim) Severson; Chris Severson; Susan (Kevin) Roberts; grandchildren, Mandy; Kayla; Kaia; Siri; Lucas; other relatives & friends.A Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Gordon Gathright, will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 5:00 PM at the Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring Street in Hastings.
