John Robert Talley

John R. Talley, age 74 of Hastings, formerly of Lakeville, MN died Monday, February 22, 2016 at Regina Assisted Living. John Robert was born June 13, 1941 in St. Catherine, MN to John A. and Louise (Erickson) Talley. He served in the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War.Johnmarried Judith M. Armstrong at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville, MN. He was employed by NSP as an iron worker prior to his retirement. John was an avid outdoorsman and bird watcher, a skilled craftsman and a loving father and grandpa. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith M. (Armstrong) Talley; and a sister, Shirley. Johns survivors include his children, Michael (Kristine) Talley of Lakeville, David (Diane) Talley of Hastings, Steve (Deb) Talley of Jacksonville, FL, and Robbie (Shauna) Talley of Farmington; also 12 grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Thomas and brothers, Bill (Marina) Talley, George (Sharon) Talley and Jimmy (Nancy) Talley; also other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Friday, February 26 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 West Fifteenth Street, Hastings with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Fr. David Hennen will officiate. Pallbearers are Jacob, Ben, John, Parker, Sam and Payton Talley. Interment will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Urbank, MN.
