Jerome "Jerry" Pykoski

Jerome "Jerry" Pykoski, age 100, a longtime resident, and dairy and crop farmer of Denmark Township, died peacefully on Thursday afternoon, August 13, 2020, at New Perspectives in Woodbury. Jerome William, the son of Benedict and Mary (Schenz) Pykoski, was born on December 7, 1919, in St. Paul. Jerry served in the United States Army, and was later granted an Honorable Discharge. Later in life, Jerry enjoyed creating many new memories while spending the winters in Donna, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd (Minnie) Pykoski; sister, Delores (Dwain) Marshall; nephew, David Marshall; and by his special friend, Irene McQuade. Jerry is survived by nieces of the Pykoski Family; nieces and nephews of the Marshall Family; members of the McQuade Family; very special friends, Kenny Stanton, Bob Sorbel, and Dan Mathison; as well as many other relatives, neighbors, and friends. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings. Interment with Military Honors provided by the VFW Lyle Russell Post 1210 will follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation one hour prior to the service, and to a reception immediately following the graveside service, all at the funeral home on Saturday. A special thank you to the staff at New Perspectives-Woodbury and St. Croix Hospice for your utmost respect, care, and kindness you provided Jerry. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Macular Degeneration Foundation or to the donor's choice in memory of Jerry. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
