Jerome Ficker

Jerome N. �Jerry� Ficker, age 72, of Hastings, diedTuesday, June 10, 2008 at the United Hospital in St. Paul.He was born in New Trier, MN to Michael and Theresa (Beissel) Ficker. He married Elaine Reinardy on August 23, 1958 in New Trier and had worked on the assembly line of Ford Motor Co. for 33 years before retirement. Jerry was a hard worker, and in addition to being a huge Viking fan, he was a perfectionist who took pride in everything he did, especially his lawn and his vehicles. His seven grandchildren were his pride and joy.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Stan, Alois, and Paul; son-in-law Wayne Ross; and brother-in-law Don Lorentz. Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elaine; children Rhonda Gordon(special friend Mark Kronholm), Randy (fiancee Laurie Peterson), Rose Ross, and Geri (Jim) Magee; also his grandchildren Nicholas, Andrew, Valerie, Tyler, Megan, Taryn, and Maria; siblings Joe (Phyllis) Ficker, Bernadette Lorentz, Mary (Gordon) LaValla, Teresa (Glen) Madland, Sr. Rose Ann SSND, Patricia (Ken) Carl, and Virginia (Jack) Majeski: sister-in-law Vivian Ficker.The funeral service, officiated by Fr. James Perkl and Fr. Martin Siebenaler will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June13,2008at the ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CATHOLIC CHURCH, Hastings.The interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The visitation will be held AT CHURCH on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. and also 1 hour prior to the Friday Mass. The pallbearerswill beNicholas Ross, Andrew Magee, Tyler Gordon, Dan LaValla, Don Lorentz, and Joe Ficker Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and St. Mary�s Catholic Church of New Trier.
