Jeffrey K. Merritt

Jeffrey K. Merritt, age 64 of Hastings died September 1, 2011. Jeff was born August 2, 1947 in Minneapolis to Clayton and Agnes (Erlandson) Merritt. He married Joyce Bauer January 22, 1966 at St. Boniface Church in Hastings and was a retired forklift driver with Con Agra. He was preceded in death by his parents, and best friend Gene Reinardy. Jeffrey is survived by his wife Joyce; children Toni (Dan) Anderson, Lynette (Ross) Berglund all of Evansville, MN, C.J. (Missy) Merritt of Hastings and Bob (Judy) Merritt of Evansville, MN; 8 grandchildren Ashley, Erika, Lacey, Jeffrey, Brandon, Taylor, Blake, and Brody; brother Jim (Karen) Merritt and sister Linda Zeien, all of Hastings. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Lloyd Menke will be held 11am Tuesday, September6, 2011at Our Saviour�s Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 West Ninth St., Hastings. Visitation will be held 3-7pm Monday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E.Seventh St., Hastings and one hour prior to the service at church. The pallbearers are Ben Johnson, Matt Lloyd, Mark Lloyd, Ryan Reinardy, Jim Lee, and Chad Evans; honorary pallbearers are Jim Molde and Randy Knoll.
