Jeffrey J. "Jeff" Mills

Jeffrey "Jeff" Mills, age 45 of Hastings, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday afternoon, April 20, 2021. Jeffrey John, the son of John and Amelia (Karl) Mills, was born on October 15, 1975, in Marshalltown, Iowa. In his younger years, Jeff enjoyed hunting with his dad, fishing, riding his dirt bike, skateboarding, and participating in sports, especially baseball. Following his graduation from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1995, Jeff briefly continued his education prior to moving to Minnesota in 1998. He began working with Wipaire, Inc. and loved the opportunity to be around the aviation world. On June 4, 2010, Jeff was united in marriage to Stephanie Mack and they were blessed with two beautiful children, Riley and Andrew. He was a talented woodworker and loved building replica models. Most of all, Jeff cherished the time spent with his kids outdoors exploring nature. He was preceded in death by his father, John. Jeff is survived by his children, Riley and Andrew as well as their mother, Stephanie Mills; mom, Amelia Mills; sisters, Julie (John) Rutz and Carrie (Brian) Wilson; nieces and nephews, Molly (John) Knosp, Jacob Rutz, Jeremy Rutz, Samantha Wilson, Alex Wilson, and Noelle Wilson; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Jeff's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, Iowa, with Pastor Mike Herschberger officiating. Please continue to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Jeff's kids in his memory. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, Minnesota.
