Jeffrey G. Maxson

Jeffrey Greig Maxson, age 62, of Hastings, passed away from lung cancer on March 28, 2015. He was born to John C. and Janet (Greig) Maxson in St. Paul on September 3, 1952. Jeff accepted his diagnosis of cancer with a positive attitude, “taking the bull by the horns and moving forever forward”. He loved animals especially his dog Charlie. He also enjoyed photography, boating, spending time at the lake and tinkering with his remote control vehicles. Jeff was a true people’s person, he would talk to anyone and everyone. He enjoyed his trade work as a machinist and custodian, and loved working with tools of all kinds. Jeff is preceded in death by his father, John C. Maxson. He is survived by his mother, Janet Greig Maxson; his better half, Nan Bishop, her daughters and their families; sisters, Cathy (Tim) McLevish; Lisa (Tom) Morris; and Molly Maxson; step mother, Christine Maxson; half-brothers, Christopher (Emily) Maxson and Mike (Barbara) Maxson; other relatives and friends. A funeral service, officiated by Father Dave Hennen, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (3/31) at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings.
