Jeannette Louise Marthaler

Jeannette L. Marthaler, age 86, of Rosemount, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, August 17, 2020. Jeannette Louise Michaud, was born February 6, 1934, in St. Paul, to John Kenneth and Delilah Marie (Haessly) Michaud. She was raised in St. Paul and graduated from Humboldt High School. She married Joseph R. Marthaler on August 2, 1952 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Paul. She was a homemaker and hard working farmer's wife for many years. Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents, brothers John and James Michaud, and sister Mary Wallin. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joe, her 5 sons Robert J. (Mary Langevin), Richard J. (Jan), Stephen J. (Jeanne), Timothy J. (Jo), and Joseph J (Melanie) Marthaler; 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; siblings Delores Robinson, Jerome (Louise) Michaud, Thomas (Mary Jane) Michaud, and Dianne (Tom) Ryan. The Funeral Mass for Jeannette Marthaler will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings, MN. Due to COVID requirements, masks are required and social distancing will be followed. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Agatha's Cemetery near Coates, MN. A reception will be held at the funeral home following the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
