Jeanne Durant

Jeanne Durant, age 89, of Bloomington, formerly of California, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Jeanne was born in Newton, IA on February 19, 1919 to John and Adelaide (Herrera) Durant. She had been employed as an accountant for the Sante Fe Railroad. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Juanita and brother Robert. She is survived by her sister Mary (Richard) Pieper of Bloomington; nephews Richard Pieper of Minneapolis and Robert (Lori) Pieper of Minnetonka; niece Christina (Mark) Bigelow of Welch; also grandnieces and grandnephews Andrew and Christian Piper; Emily, Ryan, and Robert Pieper; Catherine, Jonathan, and Joseph Bigelow. The funeral mass, officiated by Fr. James Perkl will be held at 10:00am Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth Street West, Hastings with visitation held 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Bob Pieper, Mark Bigelow, Robbie Pieper, Ryan Pieper, Jon Bigelow, and Joseph Bigelow.
