Janet L. Fredline

Janet Louise Fredline, age 77 of Hastings, passed away peacefully at home on July 7, 2020. Janet, the daughter of Peter and Elinor (Brennan) Fox, was born on February 8, 1943, in Hastings. Following her graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1961, Janet began working as a CNA for the State Hospital in Hastings. In September 1963, she was united in marriage to Jerry Reller and they were blessed with five children. She later married David Fredline in May of 1993, and he later preceded her in death in 2002. Janet was a longtime employee at the Wastewater Treatment Facility and Hastings Bus Company, a job that gave her tremendous joy. She was a master seamstress, crocheter and crafter, and enjoyed fishing with Dave. Janet also enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially her dear friend, Kathy Amacher, who helped her greatly over the last couple of years. Most of all, Janet was a woman of faith and knew she was saved. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Loa Langenfeld; husband, Dave; and by her step son, Andrew. Janet is survived by her children, Joe (Stephanie) Reller, Bob Reller, Carol Thompson, Andy "Chopper" (Karen) Reller, and Pattie (Mike) Hill; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Karen) Fox, Pete (Jill) Fox, Larry Fox, and Ruth (Lewis) Allder; stepchildren, Jeremy Fredline and Paula Fredline and their families; and by many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, with Paris Pasch officiating. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice in memory of Janet. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
