Jane E. Lightbourn

Jane E. Lightbourn, a lifelong resident of Hastings, died peacefully at home on Friday evening, July 10, 2020, at the age of 73. Jane's dedication to Hastings will forever be remembered. Jane Evelyn, and her twin brother John, were born twenty-five minutes apart on April 25, 1947, in St. Paul to Dr. Edgar and Eleanor (Enderlen) Lightbourn. Jane attended Hastings High School and graduated with the class of 1965. Following her graduation, she continued her education at UW - River Falls where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree. Jane then began her forty-six year career at Hastings Star Gazette, a job she truly enjoyed. Outside of work, Jane was a dedicated member of the Hastings Community and could often be found volunteering with the Rivertown Lions Club or Hastings Family Service. She also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jane is survived by her twin brother, John (Linda) Lightbourn; sisters, Betsy (Lynn) Vrieze and Patricia (Bruce) Perrizo; many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and dear friends. A private family graveside services will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating.
