Jane C. Bolton

Jane C. Bolton, age 80 of Hastings, died peacefully on June 6, 2019, at Regina Senior Living in Hastings. Elizabeth Jane Couchey, a twin daughter of John and Rosemary (Hunt) Couchey, was born with her brother John Jr. on June 16, 1938, in Essex, New York. At a young age, she legally changed her name to be Jane as that is what everyone continued to call her throught her life. While attending Toccoa Falls College, Jane met her soon to be husband, her choir professor, on a choir trip and they were later married and blessed with a wonderful family. Following her graduation from St. Paul Business College, Jane was a Supervisor of Coding and Billing for Indian Head Trucking for many years. She loved camping, being outdoors, going on picinics, swimming, watching and being on boats, and visititing the North Shore whenever she could. Jane was also and avid reader, and thoroughly enjoyed reading about shipwrecks. Jane was a talented writer, and a wonderful singer. Most of all, Jane loved playing pranks on people, sharing a good joke, and would always have a funny t-shirt or hat to wear in public. She is survived by her daughters, Jill (Dan) Pierce of Hastings, MN, and Janelle Bolton of Alaska; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. Jane's family will privately gather at her favorite place on the North Shore to celebrate her life this fall. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
