James S. Molde

James �Jim� S. Molde, age 73 of Hastings died November 27, 2013 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Jim was born February 15, 1940 in Rochester, Minnesota to Raymond and Doris (Nereson) Molde. He served in the U.S. Army for over three years being stationed in Germany when the Berlin Wall was being erected. He married Barbara Oviatt on August 3, 1963 in Eyota, Minnesota. Jim worked 35 years at ConAgra as a truck driver and on the warehouse dock until his retirement. Jim is preceded by his parents and brother Gene Molde.He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Tamara Molde of Hastings; son Timothy Molde of Fort Worth, Texas, grandchildren Ryan, Natalie and Nicole Molde; brothers Charles (Patricia) of Byron, Arlan (Kathy) of Elk River, Terry (Jane) and Monte (friend Carol) Molde both of Menomonie, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law Linda (Burton) O�Dell of Jacksonville, Florida and Norma (Larry) Mooney of Rochester, Minnesota. Memorials to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association. The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Chris Kneen will be held 11 AM Monday, December 2, 2013 at the United Methodist Church, 615 W. 15th St., Hastings with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Interment with Military Honors provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210 will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. Pallbearers are Michael Rippie, Brian Rippie, Charles Molde, Arlan Molde, Terry Molde, Monte Molde, Damon Rippir and Larry Mooney.
