James P. �Jack� McCoy, age 85 of Hastings died Thursday, March 10, 2011. � Jack was born to Fred and Emma (Veilleux) McCoy on November 24, 1925 in Woonsocket, SD.� He served in the Navy during WWII and married Betty Rother on June 25, 1949 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings. He had worked at 3-M Chemolite for 39 years prior to his retirement in 1986. Jack was often seen collecting cans around Hastings. He was a past member of both the American Legion and V.F.W. � He was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael; daughter Maureen; brothers Francis, Charles, and an infant brother; sisters Rosemary, Pauline, and Bette. Jack is survived by his wife Betty; children Colleen Broderson of Bloomington, Mark (Maggie) McCoy of Indianapolis, Jack (Becky) McCoy of White Bear Lake, Kent (Angie) McCoy of Falcon Heights, MN, Chris (Deb) McCoy of St. Paul Park, Kelly (Diane) McCoy of Ellsworth, WI, and Mary (Pete) Swanson of Inver Grove Heights; also 19 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and sister Helen Bastien of Hastings. � The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. James Perkl will be held 11am Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth Street West, Hastings, with visitation 2 hours prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.� The pallbearers are Mark McCoy, Jack McCoy, Kent McCoy, Chris McCoy, Kelly McCoy, and Michael S. McCoy.
