Jacquelyn E. Schmidt

Jacquelyn Elise Schmidt, age 77, of Hastings, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Home in St. Paul. Jacquelyn was born to John T. and Agnes C. (Ruff) O'Leary on April 13, 1931 in Kenosha, WI. She had worked as a clerical secretary and for the U.S. Postal Service, and married Philip L. Schmidt Sr. on November 19, 1978 in Chaska, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Susan Swensgaard, husband Philip, and siblings Muriel, Joan, Virginia, Mary, and Thomas. Jacquelyn is survived by her son Roger Swensgaard of Finland, MN; granddaughter Daniella (Brian) Teuber; great-grandchildren Gabriella and Collin Teuber all of East Bethel; sister Eileen O'Leary of CA; brother Gilbert O'Leary of Duluth, MN. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, May 5, 2008 at the ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings, with a visitation held at the church after 5:30 PM Monday until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Lady of Good Counsel Home, 2076 St. Anthony Av., St. Paul, MN 55104
