Irene V. Van Deusen

Irene V. Van Deusen, age 91 of Hastings, died May 14, 2015 at Regina Assisted Living in Hastings. Irene Viola was born October 30, 1923 in Hastings to George and Mina (Foster) Robinson. She was 1941 graduate of Hastings High School and married Randall Van Deusen on August 8, 1942 at the Methodist Church in Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Randall in 1991, and six siblings, Helen (Gus) Heinold, Harold, Russell, Dayton, George and William Robinson. Irene is survived by her daughters Roxanne Winiecke of Salem , OR, Roberta (Edward) Ryan of Eagan and Randi (Johnny) Massengill of Hopkins, SC; severalgrandchildrengreat grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; her brother Clarence Robinson of Hastings; also many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, May 18 at Regina Chapel, 1175 Nininger Road in Hastings, officiated by Gordon Gathright. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Regina Assisted Living Pauline Unit in her memory. Arrangements are being completed by Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services in Hastings.
