Helen J. Brunner

Helen J. Brunner, age 68 of Hastings died Friday, August 15, 2014 at her home. Helen was born to Surrency James and Mary Elizabeth (Current) Walker on October 30, 1945 in Greenfield, Ohio. She married Larry Martin Brunner in Greenfield, OH on June 29, 1965 and had worked as a nurse at Regina Assisted Living Facility in Hastings. She loved "The Island" and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Larry and sister Roberta. Helen is survived by her daughters Angela (Greg) Throne of Lakeville and Stephanie (Mike) Miller of Farmington; granddaughters Amanda Brunner, Felicia and Sarah Throne, and KC Nicole Miller; siblings Marjorie Weeks, Rosemary (Jessie) Whited, Vernon (Arlene) Walker, David (Kathy) Walker, Robert (Marjorie) Walker, all of Ohio and Rita Gorman of Savage, MN; also nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. The Funeral Service, officiated by Gordon Gathright will be held 4 PM Sunday, August 17 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St, Hastings, with visitation two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings on Monday 8/18/2014 at 1:30 PM. Pallbearers are her four granddaughters and two sons-in-law.
