Gordon L. Greiner

Gordon L. "Guber" Greiner, age 76 of Hastings, died unexpectedly on August 19, 2015 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Gordon Lee was born August 13, 1939 in Morris, MN to Otto and Rose (Braker) Greiner. He was a graduate of Hancock, MN High School and married Faye A. Sturm on March 26, 1960 in Trenton, NJ. Gordon retired from Koch Refinery in 1999 and had also worked in the construction industry for many years. He loved listening to all types of music, enjoyed computer games and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Cory and Chad; and brother in law Terry Sturm. Guber is survived by his wife Faye; sister Pam (Neil) Wiese of Morris; in laws Dick and Sandy Greiner of Hastings, Lloyd and Joy Greiner of Spicer, MN, Dean and Gladys Sturm of Andover, MN, and Cindy Sturm of Inver Grove Heights; also nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 24, 2015 at Hastings United Methodist Church, 615 West Fifteenth St., Hastings, with Rev. Chris Kneen and Gordon Gathright officiating. Visitation will be held 3-5 PM Sunday at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings and also one hour prior to Monday service at church. Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings at a later date. Pallbearers are Travis Greiner, Jon Wiese, Troy Sturm, Gunnar Sturm, David Derickson and Damon Curfman.
