Glenn Wimer

Glenn Wimer, age 97, originallyofFrankfort, South Dakotadied Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at his residence - the Regina Nursing Home in Hastings, Minnesota. Glenn was born June 27, 1912 in Frankfort to Gordon and Maud (Murphy) Wimer. He married Genevieve Valder on November 16, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Harry Wimer, Verna Swanson, Frank Wimer, Madge Dow, Forrest Wimer, and Mildred Huntsman. Glenn is survived by his wife Genevieve; sons Glenn C. (Connie) Wimer of Ogden, UT, Miles (Sue) Wimer of Eagan, MN; daughter Kathleen Wimer (Joseph Puleo) of Branford, CT; grandchildren Nathan Wimer, Trevis Wimer, Sarah Moldenhauer-Salazar; step-grandchild Manuela Zwilling;4 great-grandchildren, Petra and Dane Wimer,Jonah and Lily Moldenhauer-Salazar; sister Fleda Gavette of Longview, WA;also nieces and nephews. The funeral service, officiated by Gordon Gathright will be held 2pm Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Regina Chapel, 1175 Nininger Road, Hastings with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service.The interment will be held at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield, SD.Memorials preferred to Regina Foundation, 1175 Nininger Road, Hastings.
