Gertrude A. Endres

Gertrude A. Endres, age 83, of Hastings, and formerly of Hampton, died March 18, 2011 at Regina Nursing Home. Gertrude was born December 31, 1927 in St. Bernard, NE to Frank and Gertrude (Hoelscher) Wellman. She married Julius Endres October 1, 1952 at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in Miesville, and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Duane; and siblings Al, Lee, Ray, Clara and Marcella. Gertrude is survived by her children Irene (Peter) Helmueller of Maiden Rock, Gregory (Sharon), Geraldine (George) Weinhandl, Leander (Lanell), all of Hampton, Mary Duscher, Elaine (LeRoy) Lucking, all of Hastings, Lawrence (Joleen) of So. St. Paul, Loraine (Rich) Neisen, Thomas (Sharon), Paul (Samantha), all of Hampton; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Andrew (Florine) Wellman of Hampton, Francis (Susan) Wellman of Hackensack; sisters-in-law Helen Gergen, Evelyn Wellman, and Wilma Wellman. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Stan Mader, will be held 10:30AM Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton. The visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Gertrude�s children will serve as pallbearers.
