Gerald L. Wright

Gerald L. Wright, age 86, of Hastings, passed away January 7, 2022. He was born in Hastings on December 17, 1935 to Louis and Alice (Pinke) Wright. He married Joleen Meeker on February 4, 1961 in Hastings. Gerald was a lifelong farmer in Denmark Township. He was best known for his sheep farm on Highway 61. Gerald was an active supporter of 4H and FFA. He is preceded in death by his son, James; parents; and brother, John. Gerald is survived by his wife, Joleen; children, Jane (Steve) Kiester, Jeff (Chris) Wright, Julie Miller, and Jenny (Brad) Satchell, daughter in law, Margaret Wright; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Services for Gerald will be held at a later date.
