Gerald "Jerry" Weber

Gerald E. Weber "Jerry", age 82 of Hastings, MN died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Christmas Day. Jerry was born July 1, 1932 in Hastings to John and Jeanette (Schaffer) Weber. He was a graduate of Hastings High School, class of 1950. He married Marion Conzemius on August 23, 1952 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings. He was a lifelong dairy farmer, an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Miesville, where he was a choir member for 60 years, treasurer of Douglas Township for 30 years, a charter member of the Miesville Lions Club, an inductee into the Miesville Mudhens Hall of Fame, a member of the Knights of Columbus and an ASC Board Member. Jerry enjoyed playing cards, golfing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bernard and Jack. Jerry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marion; children Mike (Cheryl) Weber, Ron (Mary) Weber, Sue (Jim) Meyer, Bob Weber, Mary McCabe, Ann (Johnny) Phillips and Kay (Lee) Aanonsen; also 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; siblings Ann McGree, Harriet Wiederholt, Alberta Horsch, Jim (Jan) Weber; sisters-in-law Marlys Weber, Dorothy Fritze, Lois (Bill) Cain; brothers-in-law Marty (Becky) Conzemius, Clayt McNamara; also many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Miesville on Sunday, 12/28 from 3-7 PM and one hour prior to the funeral. The Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 AM Monday 12/29 officiated by Fr. Terry Beeson. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Grandchildren pallbearers are Brett Weber, Mark Weber, Eric Decker, Marty Weber, Andrew McCabe, Ben Phillips and Laura Aanonsen; honorary pallbearers are Joe McGree, Charlie Wiederholt, Kevin Weber, Gretchen Rauchwarter, Jeff Horsch, Greg McNamara and David Swanson.
