Gerald "Jerry" Roalson

ROALSON, Gerald E. “Jerry” Roalson, age 76, of Hastings, passed away at United Hospital on April 15, 2017. He was born on December 28, 1940 to Elmer and Elsie Roalson in Mankato, MN. Jerry retired from 3M after more than 30 years of employment. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He loved his time at the cabin. He enjoyed watching the loons, the beauty of the lake and most of all, he loved to listen to the wind whip through the pines. He is preceded in death by his sons, William and Joe Roalson; his parents; and sister, DeLores Hicks. Jerry is survived by his daughters, Mi Rinda Kovacs, Amy (Greg) Thies, Cindy Roalson, and Lori (Russell) Waite; grandchildren, Braeden, Nicholas, Becky, Erin, Jaci, Melinda, Bill, Michael, Andrea, Christopher, Sarah, and Ashley; great grandchildren; sister, Barb Albrecht; and many other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Cindy Mueller, will be held on Thursday (4/20) at 11:00 AM, at United Church of Mapleton, 201 Troendle St. SW in Mapleton. A visitation will be held on Wednesday (4/19) from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Wise Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 400 Spring St., Hastings, and one hour prior to the service at church on Thursday. Interment will take place later at Union Cemetery in Mapleton.
