Fred Partington

Fred Partington, age 88, of Hastings died Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Regina Medical Center. Fred was born November 22, 1920 in Farmington, MN to William and May (Lomas) Partington. He had served in the U.S. Navy, married Marjorie Bohardt on May 19, 1939 in Farmington, and had worked for Con Agra Flour Mill for over 30 years prior to retirement.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marjorie; and daughters Mary Stam and Janice Partington.Fred is survived by his children Lois (Lawrence) Teuber and James (Deloris) Partington both of Hastings, Patricia Partington of North Carolina, Ronald Partington, Joyce Partington, and Dennis Partington all of Hastings, Denise (Gordon) Linnell of Welch, and Colleen (David) Sodemann of Rosemount; also 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Jim Partington of Farmington and George Partington of Lake City.The funeral service, officiated by Gordon Gathrightwill be held at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street in Hastings on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., with a visitation held one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors provided by the Hastings V.F.W. Lyle Russell Post # 1210 will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. The pallbearers are Steve Partington, Jeff Partington, Eric Linnell, Jamie Linnell, Gene Teuber, and Ashley Sodemann.
