Francis "Bud" Mcnamara

Francis J. �Bud� McNamara was born November 17, 1918 in Hastings, MN and died at the home of his son, Leon and Elizabeth on September 11, 2012. He was 93 years old. Bud graduated from Hastings High School, class of 1937. He and Marcella Endres were married on August 28, 1945 atSt. MathiasCatholic Church in Hampton. They raised nine children while living on the McNamara Century Farm, which is still, to this day run by sons Dennis and Paul. Bud was also a former Ravenna Township supervisor. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary �Mayme� (Otte) and Martin McNamara; his beloved wife Marcella; sisters Dorothy Endres and Lois Orman; brothers Ray, Vern and Aloysius; grandsons Kevin and David; and daughter-in-law Rita McNamara. Bud is survived by his children Leon (Elizabeth Kramer), Dean (Anne), Glen (Linda), Dale (Tami), Paul (LuAnn), Mary (Greg) Stotko, Todd (Brenda), Lori Kariesch, and Dennis (Kathy); also 23 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings and also 1 hour prior to the service at church. The Funeral Mass is 10:30am Monday, September 17 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings, officiated by Fr. James Perkl. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery Pallbearers are Joe McNamara, Jeff McNamara, John McNamara, Allison McNamara, Ryan Kariesch, Scott McNamara, Brendan McNamara and Meghan McNamara Stotko.
