Ethan David Witte

Ethan David Witte, age 2, of West Salem, Wisconsin, passed away at his home on February 11, 2014. He was born on February 5, 2012 to David & Jenni (Rotty) Witte in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Ethan was such a gentle soul. His grin melted our hearts. He looked up to his big sister Anna, his best friend. Ethan loved tractor rides, eating freezies and playing with all of his cousins. He had a jolly heart that we only hope we can carry on for him. Mommy will miss rocking him to sleep at night. Daddy will miss playing ball with him. Jesus can hold him now. Ethan is preceded in death by his great grandparents. He is survived by his parents, David & Jenni (Rotty); big sister, Anna; grandparents, Bob & Kathy Rotty; Duane & Sharon Witte; godparents, Katherine & Abigail Zuzek; 19 aunts & uncles; 23 first cousins; 1 second cousin. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday (2/18) at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th St. W., Hastings. A visitation will be held at church on Monday (2/17) from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to mass at church on Tuesday.
