Ernest W. Frerich

Ernest W. Frerich, age 75 of Hastings died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born July 14, 1935 in Rice, MN to John and Dorothy (Gohman) Frerich. Ernest served two tours of duty in the Marines from 1954�1958. He married Lucille Muntifering on June 25, 1958 in North Carolina and worked as a machinist in manufacturing. He was a dedicated father who was proud of his children. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter Patricia;seven brothers and two sisters, Ernest is survived by his wife Lucille; children John of Marshall, Thomas of Palos Heights, IL, Robert (Kathleen) of Lakeville, Pamela (Thomas) Cordes of Winona, and Mary (Thomas) Scott of Hastings; also ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister Mary Ellen Kangas of McGregor. The Memorial Mass, officiated by Fr. James Perkl will be held 10:30am Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
