Erik D. Wilson, age 51 of Hastings, died suddenly at home on Thursday evening, July 2, 2020. Erik Duwayne, the son of James and Sandra (Wilson) Molitor, was born on October 31, 1968, in Hastings. Following his graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1987, Erik became certified in fire suppression systems. Over the years, Erik worked in commercial kitchen cleaning and safety and owned Rivertown Services. Erik enjoyed boxing in his younger years, four wheeling, fishing, camping, collecting antiques and miscellaneous old items, and spending time on the river. Most of all, Erik enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and grandson, Aiden. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandie Molitor; and by his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Erik is survived by his children, Stephanie Wilson and Erik Erlien; grandson, Aiden Harstad; father, James Molitor; siblings, Deedra (Kurt) Kitzmann and Briana Weber, Matt (Toni) Molitor, Sean (Dana) Molitor, Jayme Molitor; nieces, Jessica, Hannah (Karl), Holly, and Emma; great niece, Haisley; aunt, Jackie (Larry) Walker; uncle, Paul Wilson; beloved dog, Scrappy; and by other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Erik's Life will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Dee's house: 709 County Rd 47, in Hastings.
